Tracey Brieger

Tracey Brieger has been a social, environmental and economic justice organizer and campaigner for over 20 years, and is currently the Campaign Coordinator at Jobs with Justice San Francisco. She is a former co-director of the statewide environmental justice coalition Californians for Pesticide Reform where she worked for 14 years, fighting with farmworkers and frontline community members across California to protect their health and rights. Before that, Tracey worked with global justice movements in Canada, Thailand, Laos and India challenging destructive “development” projects funded by international financial institutions. Tracey has completed the Anne Braden Anti-racist Training Program for white social justice activists and Advanced Training through the Center for Story-based Strategy. She has an M.S. in Environmental Science, Policy and Management from UC Berkeley. Valuing healing for us as individuals, societies and movements as a critical step towards collective liberation, Tracey is also an herbalist with a clinical practice and a teacher at Ancestral Apothecary School in Oakland.
