Natalia Berthet Garcia

Natalia Berthet Garcia is a Uruguayan immigrant who has spent most of her life in North Central Massachusetts. She started organizing shortly after she was granted DACA, called to action by the policy’s exclusion of immigrant workers, families, and other undocumented people. From 2013 to 2018, Natalia organized at Massachusetts Jobs with Justice around immigrant rights and workers’ rights. She was a regional organizer for several statewide campaigns, including one that won earned sick time and raised the minimum wage for Massachusetts workers and a ballot question which stopped the expansion of charter schools in the state. During her time at JwJ, Natalia was also the Communications Coordinator and worked with the staff to develop and implement strategies for the organization’s immigrant rights and workers’ rights campaigns. Natalia is also a reproductive justice advocate and an interpreter. She loves to work collectively and is invested in making Communications more accessible and transparent.
