Jennefer Heng is a second-generation Cambodian-American woman from Long Beach, CA. As a daughter of refugees, her family was resettled into underserved neighborhoods where she experienced the devastating impact of racism, poverty, and war. Responding to her needs for community, culture, and justice, Jenn became politically active in high school and fought for racial, gender, and economic justice as a youth organizer. As a Community Organizer with Khmer Girls in Action, she envisions a world rooted in healing and liberation and led by those most marginalized. She hopes to uplift the intersectional struggles and experiences of the Southeast Asian diaspora.
