Clarice Joy Yanga

Khmer Girls in Action.
Joy is Filipina American born and raised in Los Angeles, a city where her parents immigrated to in hopes to support and send remittances back to our family during and post- martial law in the Philippines. Joy attended school at UC Santa Cruz and graduated with a degree in American studies. She has worked with KGA for over 6 years and serves as the Communications Director. She seeks to amplify the voices and presence of SEA young women, youth of color, immigrant and refugee experiences. She aims to give students opportunities to love themselves, “Know History, Know Self!”, and use various art forms to engage community, healing and to build collective power.
