Christina Patino Houle

Rio Grande Valley Equal Voice Network.
Christina Patino Houle is the Network Weaver for the Rio Grande Equal Voice Network and a Regional Chair for the Southern Border Communities Coalition. The RGV EVN works on a wide variety of community development issues including immigration reform and civic engagement. The network has a reach of over 10,000 individuals and works to support the needs to low income and mixed status families in the RGV. Houle has a background in community engagement, art production and education. She sees community building as a key part of shifting culture and policy. Her art collective Las Imaginistas are recipients of the Blade of Grass Fellowship and the Artplace America Creative Placemaking award. She holds an MFA from Columbia University and an EdM from Harvard.
