Abrigal Forrester

Abrigal Forrester is the Executive Director for The Center for Teen Empowerment (TE). Prior to transitioning to TE Abrigal worked for Madison Park Development Corporation (MPDC) as the Director of Community Action. He oversaw all of MPDC’s community base programs and led five key initiatives for the organization; Health Equity and Wellness, Public Safety, Youth Leadership, Civic Engagement, and Resident Leadership & Engagement. Abrigal has worked for several reputable organizations in Boston; YouthBuild USA, as the National Director of Criminal Justice Initiatives and Associate Director of Advocacy and Public Policy. At YouthBuild USA he led the development and coordination of a national youth council called the National Council of Young Leaders (NCYL) and supported the creation of a youth policy document that was presented to the White House; The Boston Foundation’s StreetSafe Boston Initiative; the Urban League of Eastern Massachusetts (ULEM) as the Manager of the Employment Resource Center; STRIVE, Boston Employment Service, Inc., where he played an essential role in developing a re-entry workforce development program for reentering citizens, which included designing a “behind the walls” job readiness training curriculum and provided transitional assistance at the Suffolk County House of Corrections.
