Cheryl Renée Waide is an experienced online and offline Communications Director specializing in online and offline paid and earned media strategy development, rapid response messaging, crisis public relations, government affairs, issue management, project and staff management. She is a New York native who graduated cum laude from Campbell University with a B.A. in Communications, and from Strayer University with a Master of Business Administration. Cheryl is currently a doctoral student at Sullivan University where she studies Organizational Leadership. She leverages her 19 years of media expertise as the Communications Director for The New Florida Majority, an independent organization working to increase the voting and political power of marginalized and excluded constituencies toward an inclusive, equitable, and just Florida. She is also an Adjunct Professor at Broward College where she teaches business courses to emerging professionals. Cheryl is a member of various fraternal, civic and volunteer organizations including Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., ColorComm, and National Black MBA Association.
