Communications Coordinator for the Florida statewide alignment group
This is not a ReFrame position, it is with an allied formation which will require work with ReFrame.
The statewide alignment group is a collaboration of 7 Florida-based power building organizations who are working together to shift economic and governing power toward racial justice and a truly democratic state.
Purpose: The Communications Coordinator will work with statewide alignment group members and partners on coordinating communications strategies and tactics that advance a progressive narrative for Florida. The main responsibilities is to coordinate a communications working group comprised of communications staff of statewide alignment group organizations to: develop a set of shared narrative based messaging and collateral that will allow partners to advance messaging across planned campaign activities, respond rapid response opportunities, measure communications impact cross media markets and social media, and develop and advance a communications strategy for shared campaigns in coordination with national partners. The candidate will also work with statewide alignment group staff and ReFrame Mentorship staff to implement a communications capacity building program for partner organizations. The Communications Coordinator needs to be highly organized, energetic, relational, capable of motivating and managing coalitional and networked communications efforts.
Qualifications and Requirements: Candidates must have a commitment to progressive change, a great work ethic and professionalism, and strong communication skills. Candidate must have prior experience in all aspect strategic communications with a clear focus on coalitional and networked communications. Five or more years of strategic communications experience required. Fluency in English is required, and fluency in Spanish is a plus. This is based in Florida and will require, travel and availability to work nights and weekend. A valid driver's license and a vehicle is required.
Job Responsibilities:
Salary/Benefits: $65,000-$70,000. Competitive benefits package is included.

Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a coordinated communications strategy in collaboration with multiple partners across media markets and audience segments
- Develop communications tools and collateral (messaging, ad content, press materials, social media posts, etc.) for use by SWAG organizations and partners
- Manage SWAG based message and narrative research, and track allied message and narrative research and adjust strategy and materials accordingly
- Track and analyze performance of the strategy and make adjustments when needed
- Manage collaborative rapid response processes
- Offer strategic guidance to SWAG campaign team
- Offer strategic guidance and support to SWAG organizations’ communications staff
- Daily monitoring of media (traditional and social) environments to identify potential breakthrough opportunities
- Work with partners (Reframe, GPP, etc) to develop communications and narrative capacity building program for SWAG organizations and partners
- Develop and pitch media storie
